Notice to Probate Attorneys —
New Calendar for PC-1 and PC-2

Effective February 1, 2010, the calendar dates and times are changing for PC-1 and PC-2. Notice of the rescheduled hearing will be mailed to counsel for matters continued to the new calendars. Download the new schedule below.

Notice to Probate Attorneys — Exparte Procedure in North is Changing
Effective January 4, 2010, the exparte procedure is changing for customers conducting business at the North County Division.

06/30/09 —
Probate Notes — E-Mail Parameters
Effective July 1, 2009, new e-mail parameters for responding to probate notes and requesting continuances. While clearing of notes is usually done by supplement or other pleadings, the e-mail response allows the party to request continuances, bring matters to the attention of the Examiner and to clarify probate notes.

Notice to customers of the Central Probate Division — Central Probate Division is implementing a program to speed up the processing of orders. Effective June 1, 2009, the Central Probate Division is implementing a pilot program to speed up the processing of orders. Orders for probate (Judicial Council form DE-140) will be accepted prior to the hearing beginning June 1, 2009. As this is a pilot project, no other orders will be accepted before the hearing at this time.
